Loan Watch: McGugan and Jakubiak Find Net

Loan Watch: McGugan and Jakubiak Find Net

We take a look at how all the Watford players out on loan got on with their clubs this weekend.

Lewis McGugan- Sheffield Wednesday: McGugan was in the starting team for Wednesday, as they travelled to his former clubs rivals, Derby County.
Stuart Gray side found themselves a goal up at the iPro, thanks to a well executed free-kick from McGugan, but goals from Buxton got the Rams back on track, and made the most of goalkeeper Kieren Westwood's dismissal, as on form Darren Bent converted a penalty to secure a 3-2 home win.

Diego Fabbrini- Millwall: The Italian has become a bit of a fans favourite at The Den, with some Lions fans saying he is one of the best they have seen in a Millwall shirt.
Holloway's Lions were held to a stalemate with Fulham at home, but it was Fabbrini who once again went home with the Man of the Match reward.

Lloyd Dyer- Birmingham City: The Blues had to make the journey down south to face struggling Brighton and Hove Albion, and Lloyd Dyer was given a start from Gary Rowett.

First half at the AMEX ended up with both teams having a goal a piece, only for the next forty-five minutes to be a goal fest which Brighton got the better of.

Inigo Calderon and Joao Teixeira both shared a brace for the Seagulls, whilst Wes Thomas and Clayton Donaldson were on target for the Blues.

Dyer was replaced by former Huddersfield striker Lee Novak in the sixtieth minute, who pulled a goal back for City in the last minute, but it was too little too late as Chris Hughton's team snatched three points with a 4-3 victory.

Uche Ikpeazu- Doncaster Rovers: Paul Dickov opted to put Uche on the bench for their away game to former Watford man, Robert Page's Port Vale.
Awful conditions at Vale Park, and an awful result for Donny, who drop out of the play off places after a 3-0 loss.
Ikpeazu came off the bench to replace Abdul Razak on the sixty-fourth minute, but couldnn't find the back of the net, being denied by Port Vale keeper Chris Neal late on.

Alex Jakubiak- Dagenham and Redbridge: Jakubiak was in the starting team to face top of the table Burton Albion in this League Two clash, and opened the scoring for the Daggers on sixty-seven minutes.
The Brewers hit back however, and goals in rapid succesion saw them win 3-1, before eighteen year old Jakubiak was substituted twelve minutes after his goal.

Cristian Battocchio- Virtus Entella: Another one Watford's 'italian magician' was involved in a stalemate as Entellla drew 0-0 away to Carpi in the league.
I say involved, Battocchio was on the bench and didn't come off to feature for the Serie B side.

Luke O'Nien- Wealdstone & Jorell Johnson- Hemel Hempstead Town:
Both of the Watford academy graduates had their games in the Vanarama Conference South against both Gosport and Chelmsford called off, after a pitch inspection on both pitches ended up in them being called off.
