Vital Watford Readers' POTM

Vital Watford Readers' POTM
Voting has just closed for Player of the Month for March, and there's a clear winner.

This month, Cristian Battocchio takes the accolade, with 60% of the vote.

It has been a good month for Battocchio, starting all but one of Watford's six games in March. The highlights of his excellent month must include his wonderful volley early on against Barnsley to set the Hornets on their way to a thumping 3-0 win, the excellent break away goal to make it 3-2 against Blackburn with only a couple of minutes on the clock (though we all remember how that one ended up...), as well as a battling and energetic performance last time out against Sheffield Wednesday.

Congratulations, Cristian, our readers have voted you Player of the Month!

Troy Deeney will feel hard done by, with the second most votes with 18% - he has scored six in his six starts this month, including a fantastic finish against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday for Watford's third of the afternoon. Deeney was also nominated for Championship Player of the Month last week, but missed out to in-form Ravel Morrison, currently on loan to QPR from West Ham United.

Hungarian midfielder Daniel Toszer got the third most votes with 11%.
