Fabbrini Scores As Siena Win

Fabbrini Scores As Siena Win
It was an excellent weekend for Diego Fabbrini who had the most successful weekend of all the Hornets out on loan.

Fabbrini was a substitute for his side Siena in their home game against Brescia but came on after 59 minutes with the score at 1-0. He made an instant impact scoring to double the lead just two minutes after coming on. That goal proved to be the decisive one as Brescia pulled a goal back just minutes later but lost the game 2-1, a result which moved Siena up to fifth in Serie B.

It was a more sedate week for Javi Acuna after his goal last weekend. This weekend he was an unused substitute in his side Osasuna's 1-1 draw at home to Real Sociedad.

Iriney was again suspended for his side Real Mallorca's 0-0 home draw with Recreativo Heluva after his sending off three weeks ago against Barcelona B.

It was a disappointing weekend for Uche Ikpeazu at Crewe. Despite playing 90 minutes for the Railwaymen Ikpeazu did not get on the score sheet for the fifth game running in their 2-1 home defeat to Coventry City which sees them drop into the relegation zone in League One.

Nyron Nosworthy completed another 90 minutes for Bristol City at the weekend but finished up disappointed as the Robins went down 2-1 to promotion contenders Rotherham Utd at the New York Stadium.

Reece Brown was a substitute for his side Carlisle Utd on Saturday. He came off the bench for the last 24 minutes in the Grecians 0-0 draw away at fellow relegation rivals Tranmere Rovers.

Connor Smith's Gillingham were not in action this weekend as they were due to play Peterborough Utd who were involved in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley.

Alex Jakubiak was an unused substitute for Braintree in their 1-0 defeat at Gateshead, as was Luke O'Nien for his first match at Wealdstone where the Stones threw away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 against Dulwich Hamlet in a game between first and second.

Of more comofrt for the Stones was the fact that draw saw them maintain their 10 point lead at the top of the Isthmian League Premier Division with promotion to the Conference South almost assured.
