Seven Hornets in international action

Joel Ekstrand and Daniel Pudil both made returns to their respective national teams tonight after lengthy absences.

Ekstrand earned just his second cap for Sweden as a half-time substitute, some four years after making his last appearance.

The 25 year-old centre-half came on at half time as Erik Hamren's side were beaten 2-1 in Turkey.

Ekstrand last played for Sweden in a friendly against Syria in 2010, with his injury thwarting a call-up to face Argentina last February.

Pudil made his return to the Czech Republic fold after 22 months of international exile.

The wing-back came on after 62 minutes of a 2-2 draw against Norway as head coach Pavel Vrba oversaw his first match in charge.

Former Hornet Matej Vydra scored the Czech's second goal.

Ikechi Anya added to his growing collection of Scottish caps as Gordon Strachan's men secured a 1-0 win in Poland.

Anya started on the left-hand side of Scotland's front three, playing 90 minutes for the Tartan Army.

Arsenal loanee Park Ju-Young scored for Korea as they overcame Greece 2-0.

Park bagged after 18 minutes to hand Korea the lead before being replaced at half-time.

Cristian Battocchio was in qualifying action for the 2015 Under-21 European Championships, playing 90 minutes as Italy overcame Northern Ireland 2-0.

Sean Murray and Connor Smith were also in action as the Republic of Ireland's Under-21s lost out to Montenegro.

Smith - currently on loan at Gillingham - played the full 90 minutes, with Murray replaced after 78 minutes.

Tommie Hoban was an unused substitute for Noel King's side.

Jonathan Bond was also an unused substitute as Gareth Southgate's England Under-21 side beat their Welsh counterparts 1-0.

Essaid Belkalem was an unused substitute as Algeria beat Slovenia 2-0, whilst Daniel Toszer was not in Hungary's squad as lost 2-1 to Finland.
