Vital Leeds Editor 'Dazza71' helps us preview Saturday's clash at Elland Road...

What were your hopes, fears & expectations for the season?

I was anticipating another mid-table finish.

I like Brian McDermott and I think he could be fantastic for the future of the club. He didn`t bring that many in during the summer but I was expecting to get a bit more out of the squad that was put together by previous boss Neil Warnock and he does seem to be doing that at the moment.

Brian McDermott has had a transfer window to make his impression on the squad, how are things shaping up under him?

Of his signings - Luke Murphy, Noel Hunt, Scott Wootton and Matt Smith I would say only Noel Hunt has been a big disappointment.

McDermott is working well with the squad and he has recently brought in Marius Zaliukas, a Lithuanian defender, who is adding experience to the centre of defence.

Ross McCormack is enjoying playing as a central striker once again and we look like we have the start of something and we are beginning to get on a roll.

One big bonus has been the emergence of youngster Alex Mowatt and he certainly looks to have a bright future.

With more investment close, we could have a bit more of a transfer kitty in January.

Only two losses at home this season - how big a factor is playing in front of the Elland Road crowd for Leeds?

Crowds are up at Elland Road this season and there is certainly a feel good factor once again following the departure of Ken Bates.

Players seem to be revelling in the atmosphere once again and when in full voice, we are the twelfth man at home.

Who will be your key man on Saturday?

I have to name two. When Rodolph Austin and Ross McCormack are on their game, we are very hard to beat. If one of them as an off day, we do not carry the same threat. Austin`s hard work allows the other midfielders the freedom to play and McCormack`s goals speak for themselves this season.

Any injuries or suspensions?

Jamie Ashdown, David Norris, Dexter Blackstock and Scott Wootton are all out injured. Adam Drury is back in training after injury but he is not expected to feature.

Predicted line-up?

Kenny; Peltier, Lees, Pearce, Zaliukas, Pugh; Mowatt, Austin, Murphy; McCormack & Smith.
