Internationals: Doyley makes Jamaica debut

Long-serving Hornet's defender Lloyd Doyley made his long-awaited debut for Jamaica last night as the Reggae Boyz lost 2-0 to Costa Rica.

The versatile 30 year-old defender had been an unused substitute in Jamaica's draw with Panama, but was handed a start by Theodore Whitmore last night.

Doyley was partnered in defence by ex-Watford defender Aidy Mariappa, with winger Jobi McAnuff also lining up in midfield.

Another ex-Golden Boy, striker Theo Robinson, also came on as a substitute in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifier.

Meanwhile, on Monday night, the Republic of Ireland U21s lost 2-1 to their Portuguese counterparts with Sean Murray playing 72 minutes.
