'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Short and Tweet: Manchester City (A)

Get some Tweet-sized chunks of terrace opinion following yesterday's 3-0 defeat at Manchester City.

Goals from Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry and Marco Lopes secured the Citizen's safe passage through to round four.

In spite of the comfortable scoreline, Watford made a brave go of the clash and had a number of efforts on goal.

Here are the thoughts of some of Vital Watford's Twitter followers following a big day in Manchester:

@steveholtwfc 'Nosworthy was easily my man of the match yesterday! Dread to think what the score could have been but for him!'

@SteveBDFM 'I don't know how there can be any doubt about Lloyd any more. In all his years he's never stopped improving.'

@jackelele15 'Thought Nyron Nosworthy was excellent yesterday, even played a few passes!'

@WillyworthWorth 'Analysing performance we played well in spells and defended ok at times, if we can defend like that then Charlton won't happen.'

'We played champions of England, with two players who haven't played for weeks. We played good football in spells.'

@sam_shaw22 'Premier League teams have gone there and done worse, we were also without key players, scoreline doesn't reflect performance.'

‏@johnsitkowski 'James Milner ran riot down the right first half. Beat pudil too many times. Quieter second half, but a very good player.'

@watfordburton '#shortandtweet Proud of golden boys, fans did well, little quiet? Sign loanees sharp, onto Boro, I have a man crush on Zola.'

@joethomas212286 'Fantastic effort from whole team, back 3 plus Bond immense. Proud to be a Hornet.'

‏@aussihornet 'It's as if people expect Europe next year. Today was about doing #watfordfc proud. Wasn't there but heard only Horns on radio!'

@Adam_Drury1 'Bond was probably the highlight of the day, plus just watching Chalobah and knowing that we have him all season!'

‏@HughesJosh10 'Overhearing City fans saying we played some great football and look better than some Prem teams.'

The Sunday Times' Jonathan Northcroft:

@JNorthcroft '@vitalwatford Did you go to the game yesterday? Thought you did well but ran into a v professional and accomplished City.

'@vitalwatford Liked ambition of the side and way you kept it on the deck. Could see Vydra's potential and Chalobah's class.'
