Loan watch: Two Orns feature as rain interferes

ONLY ONE Hornet was in action for his loan club this weekend as bad weather hit the Football League schedule.

Only Southend United forward Britt Assombalonga played on Saturday with the Shrimpers winning 3-0.

Goals from Ryan Cresswell and a brace from Gary Tomlin secured a comfortable victory over Chesterfield.

Assombalonga was replaced by Barry Corr with eight minutes to play.

Piero Mingoia's Accrington Stanley drew 1-1 at home to Plymouth Argyle, but the Italian midfield failed to feature once more.

Matty Whichelow returned to Watford in the week.
