Loan watch: Dicko's second Pompey debut

CARL DICKINSON made his second Portsmouth debut this weekend, having been loaned to the south coast club before during his Stoke City days.

The left-back started and played the full 90 minutes for Michael Appleton's side down the left-hand side of midfield.

Portsmouth went down 2-1 in Hertfordshire, beaten by Gary Smith's Stevenage side.

A double from former Chelsea man Filipe Morais was enough to cancel out Jon Harley's goal for Pompey.

Dickinson was booked during the game.

Elsewhere in League One, Joe Garner drew a blank, despite notching twice in midweek.

Carlisle United were beaten 4-2 at home by Eddie Howe's Bournemouth with goals from Marc Pugh (2), Lewis Grabban and Lee Barnard continuing Eddie Howe's successful return.

In League One, Craig Forsyth played the full 90 minutes as Bradford City were beaten 1-0 at Burton Albion.

The Bantams held on until the 80th minute before the aptly-named Calvin Zola won it for the Brewers.

Accrington Stanley pair Matty Whichelow and Piero Mingoia were not on view, the latter not even included in the matchday squad, as Stanley beaten Bristol Rovers 1-0.

Mingoia was an unused sub as Paidraig Amond's 97th minute strike separated the sides.

Finally, Dale Bennett completed his Wimbledon loan spell, whilst Ross Jenkins was sidelined for Plymouth's defeat by Rotherham.
