'If It's Football, It's Vital'

WFC loan round-up

With the regular league season now finished in England, Vital Watford take a look at the respective loan campaigns of those who are out on loan.

In League One, Bury's Jonathan Bond completed his loan spell with the shakers in a 3-0 reverse at Stevenage.

The Welsh youth international will doubtless be encouraged by the news of Rene Gilmartin's release and could well find himself pushing Scott Loach for the number one jersey next season.

In total, Bond made made six appearances for Ritchie Barker's side, securing three wins and a draw.

Also in the third tier,Scunthorpe United pair Josh Walker & David Mirfin could well find themselves re-united at Glandford Park next season.

Walker has already agreed a permanent move to Lincolnshire after a deal in January was blocked by FIFA.

The former Middlesbrough man made 17 starts and a substitute appearance for the Iron, scoring three times.

Centre-back Mirfin played in Saturdays 1-1 draw at Tranmere Rovers and has made 19 starts for Scunny, scoring once.

Defender Adam Thompson helped Brentford to a 3-2 win at already-relegated Chesterfield on the final day, making a three minute cameo from the bench.

The Northern Ireland international has made 16 starts and four substitute appearances for the Bees over two loan spells, scoring once.

In the Blue Square Premier, Piero Mingoia's Hayes & Yeading outfit were beaten 2-1 at home by Stockport County.

Mingoia made seven starts and one sub appearance for Nas Bashir's side, notching his first two league goals in professional football.

Finally, young midfielder Chez Isaac & Tamworth finished 18th with Isaac making the last of his 10 appearances in March.

Isaac, who will be released at the end of the season, made eight starts and two substitute appearances for the Lambs.

Welcome back to the Vic' lads.
