What does the future hold for - Michael Bryan?

As the season draws to a close, it`s time for players, managers and the relevant hierarchy to sit down and discuss the future of certain players. In this series Vital Watford look at the futures of those who are out of contract, out of favour, or only on-loan at Vicarage Road.

This week it`s the turn of Michael Bryan. Get involved by commenting below to let us know whether or not you agree or disagree.

It`s been clear for some time that Michael Bryan will not make the grade at Vicarage Road. A decent spell two Autumn`s ago is the sum of his Watford FC career and the club have been actively trying to help the former QPR wideman to find a new club.

Judging by the lack of subsequent news, trial spells at Leyton Orient and Bournemouth didn`t go well enough and a loan spell at Bradford City earlier in the campaign was undermined by the removal of the manager who signed him, Peter Jackson, and the installation of a man who clearly didn`t fancy him - Phil Parkinson.

It`s harsh to make it as black or white as this, but if at 22 you can`t cut it in League Two, you`re not going to be kept on by a Championship club. I`m not going to say he can`t play at this level because football is littered with examples of players who proved people better placed to judge than myself wrong, but right now he is not a second-tier player.

Release at the end of his contract.
