What does the future hold for - Stephen McGinn?

As the season draws to a close, it`s time for players, managers and the relevant hierarchy to sit down and discuss the future of certain players. In this series Vital Watford look at the futures of those who are out of contract, out of favour, or only on-loan at Vicarage Road.

This week it`s the turn of Stephen McGinn. Get involved by commenting below to let us know whether or not you agree or disagree.

At the time of writing Stephen McGinn is yet to enter the field for the first-team this season as he recovers from a serious knee injury sustained at Doncaster over 14 months ago.

However, from what we saw last season of the wee Scot, we`ve got a decent player on our hands. With Prince Buaben flattering to deceive all too often in the creative midfield slot, McGinn could very likely re-claim his spot next season ahead of the Ghanaian. It certainly won`t be easy having spent such a long period out, and it will not be as immediate as many people hope, but from what we have seen of the former St Mirren schemer, he`s a player well worth keeping. Tidy on the ball, intelligent and always looking to keep the ball grounded, he is probably what we`ve been crying out for at times. Whether or not he`ll live up to the expectation he`s been afforded after such a period of absence remains to be seen but he is still only young.

Give him a new contract.
