'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Opposing View - Coventry City

How has the season compared to your hopes, fears & expectations?

It has panned out pretty much as most people expected in terms of a relegation battle although there has been a good 'togetherness' between fans and players which has made it more enjoyable than it might look from the outside.

How much, if at all, has all the SISU nonsense affected the playing staff?

It's very difficult to tell, perhaps the players have not been affected but Andy Thorn has hinted many times about the things he has had to battle against.

Andy Thorn's job never seems to come under scrutiny outside of the area, is that true of Coventry too, and if not, why not?

He's pretty much got the backing of most fans, perhaps because he's not SISU but also because his team has been competitive and tried to play good football. Are we doing the best we can with the players we've got is the question that is most difficult to answer.

Gael Bigirimana (and yes, that was a C+P from elsewhere!) bagged the Championship 'Apprentice of the Season' award last Sunday - how good is he?

He started off very well, assured on the ball and very positive. Perhaps inevitably given his age he has tailed off somewhat and hasn't featured much recently.

Who is the key man for Coventry and why?

Alex Nimely has provided some pace and directness to the attack since signing (on-loan from Manchester City).

If you could swap one Sky Blue for one Hornet, who would you switch from either side and why?

Maybe goalkeeper Joe Murphy who doesn't always inspire confidence but then I'm not sure your keepers do either?

Where will you finish this season? It's hard to see us getting out of the bottom three unless we start winning away.

Match prediction?

Always optimistic, 2-1 to City!

Cheers Alex. I think most of us would swap Joe Murphy for Scott Loach to be honest!
