Vital Leeds Ed. Daz King gives us the lowdown on his side ahead of Saturday's game...

What were your hopes, fears and expectations for the season?

I thought we would have another season, where we would be in or around the play offs. So far, we are having the sort of season I expected.

What did you make of the lack of money spent over the summer?

I was disappointed but not surprised. More upset with the loss of Gradel than anything. Having seen how players like Tom Lees, Aidan White and Adam Clayton have stepped up to the first team this season maybe Simon Grayson felt he didn`t need to bring too many players in.

Ken Bates - where do you stand on this football patron?!

I prefer not to comment on Bates. You never know whether you will end up in court when commenting on him.

Was Bates right to suggest the club should be higher in the league having provided little or no money to improve the squad?

We will see in January just how seriously he wants promotion. We are a couple of good signings away from a team that will be serious promotion contenders this season. Also when I say this I don`t want us just to extend or sign Danny Pugh and Andy Keogh`s current deals and Bates say we did sign players.

What's the secret behind Ross McCormack's return to form this season?

He scored in the last two games of last season and he has carried it on into this season. I think he is a striker who shrives on scoring goals and is full of confidence. Ironically, he might be playing a bit part role now we have reverted to a 4-5-1 system.

How much longer will you hold onto Robert Snodgrass?

He has eighteen months left on his current contract. If we don`t go up this season I can see him leaving in the summer.

Who is the key man we should be looking out for on Saturday?

Robert Snodgrass - Back to full form and he is scoring goals at the moment.

Where will you finish this season?

I cannot see much investment in the January window so I think we will have another season of inconsistency and a finish between 6th-12th. I honestly do think that this season it is wide open in the championship and I would put it down to being a poor league and not a good one.

Match prediction?

Watford are playing well at home, we are playing well away. 2-2

Thanks Daz, and probably a good call re. Mr Bates!
