'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Opposing View - Ipswich Town No.1

Vital Ipswich Town ed. 1962Blue gives us a peek into the world of an Ipswich fan ahead of Saturday`s game...

What were your hopes, fears and expectations for the season?

Hopes were to reach the play-offs. Fears now are of relegation but expectation is we will escape.

What do you make of Paul Jewell's management so far?

Fairly indifferent. I thought he had made some decent signings, Chopra, Bullard and Cresswell for example and the loanees look decent but he can't seem to pull it all together.

Will Jewell find himself under pressure if Ipswich cannot start moving up the league sooner rather than later?

ertainly there are rumblings among some fans, Ok some hate him and want him gone, but the owner has always been pretty patient and I say we should stick with him.

You made a fair number of summer signings, how have they worked out for you?

As I say they looked good on paper but they have not done so well on the pitch.

What impact, if any has former Watford 'hall-of-famer', Nathan Ellington had on Ipswich Town?

The Duke has hardly played but I would play him against your lot given how so many do so well against former clubs.

Who is the key man we should be looking out for on Saturday?

Keith Andrews has probably got the most ability if allowed room.

Where will you finish this season?

Hopefully still in the Championship.

Prediction?

Seeing how you always seem to beat us - 3-1 to Watford, but we have to turn the corner sometime, so maybe a 1-1 would do.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, we prefer the initial prediction! Cheers 1962Blue!
