Henderson: Blade Runner?

Reports are circulating that Hornets talismanic forward, Darius Henderson, is to complete a move to Sheffield United next week.

The rangy forward, who notched 13 times last season is on the verge of sealing a move to Kevin Blackwell's Sheffield United. The Blades currently house former Hornet Danny Webber, James Beattie plus Billy Sharp, Rob Hulse [whose set to move to Derby] and Luton [boooo!] Shelton.

SheffieldUnited-mad.co.uk's 'sources' report that Henderson 'may put pen-to-paper on Monday at the earliest.'

Roll on Monday...gulp...

Update
The BBC is this Morning reporting that Sheffield United have made a £2.5million bid for Henderson 'as an ideal replacement for Derby-bound Rob Hulse. The News of The World are also reporting this story.

This would be unbelievable. If Watford go into the season with only Hoskins, Priskin and Robinson as the frontmen I will be looking for a refund on my already overpriced season ticket.

Can't see it happern.... If it does and we don't buy a proven goal scorer we will go down....

If Hendo goes . So to should Aidy...... Fresh idea's are needed. RESPECT is fast being lost here.......(1881 Forever)

We would have to bring in another forward but then if Hendo went it might mean less hoofball.

The season we went up I don't remember us playing long ball as much.. We need good players like him not less...
watford1881
When we went up we had the likes of Young and McNamee and Devlin on the flanks providing quality balls for Hendo, Kingy, and the arriving Springy. But even with Smith and McAnuff and Ainsworth, the emphasis is through the middle. As for Hendo if he goes, then I would like to see Stern John arrive but who knows? Surely Boothroyd can't let our decent, senior striker leave?!
wfc123
Why? He lets everyone leave if they want...
watford1881
dont want hendo. apparantly he is signing for 1.25m tommorrow afternoon. i'd rather have *Shittu at 1.5m he must be the bargin buy of the season by far. excellent player!!
