Gers table Shittu bid?

The Summer sideshow transfer saga to Cristiano Ronaldo could be about to really hot up as The Watford Observer has reported Walter Smith has bid £1.2million plus player[s] plus clauses for Big Dan Shittu.

The nine-goal centre back has been subject to much speculation after a fantastic season last year and names such as Celtic and Portsmouth have been mentioned alongside big Dan's.

However, after much talk and litte, if no action, Scottish outfit Rangers are believed to have put their cards on the table. Chairman Graham Simpson layed his cards last week denying that Shittu would be allowed to leave WD18 despite Premier League advances.

£1.2m + player - are Rangers having a laugh? *Shittu should not be allowed to leave for less than £4m (we paid £2.6m for him) - I can only guess that Rangers striker Boyd could be a makeweight?

Is the start of bidding war? next offer please!

Presumably Boyd or Gow, both of who have been linked with moves away, or Cousin...

We need Danny to stay for at least one more season. Unless someone offers 5-6 mill. I think that sort of money could buy us a class striker which we so need. (1881 "Till I Die)

Not sure it takes that much, but I would take one of the afore mentioned strikers plus cash for *Shittu when you think we have DeMerit to step back into the side.
