5million striker to Watford?

5million striker to Watford?
Here at VitalWatford Towers we like to think ourselves as being top of the pile when it comes to glory hornet fan sites.

And in truth it's little wonder when 2 other, un-named (but reasonably respected) independent fan sites are linking us with a big money move forPeterborough's hotshot striker Aaron McLean.

Unremarkable you say? Well given that Director of Football Barry Fry has said it would cost anywhere between 5m and 9m to prize his young frontman away from London Road, and Watford seem not to have two pennies to rub together at the moment it really is a case of the Posh and the paupers!!!!

Signed from Grays Athletic a couple of years back, the beefy forward knocked in 33 goals last season for Darren Ferguson's recently promoted outfit. As good a forward as he may be, this Watford fan/over-eager journalist has his sensible hat on today and is NOT linking McLean to WD18.

And remember, stay tuned to VitalWatford - if you want news and views that do make some sense.

A lot of money, but I think Ipswich should sign him.

Hmmm - unless Fry is going to accept half a mars bar and a bag of buttons from us for him then there's no chance we will be in the market at 5m!!!!

Fry always talks rubbish, no Div 3 player is worth that much money.

Even Freddie Eastwood went for less and his goalscoring antics were proven at a higher level for a lot longer than Mclean's.

True. Well we will see, Wolves, Charlton and someone else were also strongly linked...
