Nathan's Watford Ell over?

Former Wigan gaffer Paul Jewell allegedly wants to bring his adopted son Nathan Ellington to Pride Park with him.

Under Jewell, Ellington formed one of the most lethal strike partnerships the Championship has ever seen with Jason Roberts in 2004-2005 when the powerful duo fired the Latics to promotion. Jewell launched a bid to bring Ellington back last January, unsuccessfully, and now could be his chance to re-unite.

The Duke struggled at West Brom post Wigan, before his £3.25 million transfer to Watford. Thats £1million per goal he's scored so far. Great success! In fact, it took 'The Duke' the first half of the season to even earn a run in the first team culminating in his first goal against Charlton on January 19th.

Jewell is believed to have watched the Duke last week and will make an offer come the Summer.

Should Watford be in the Premier League by then, surely Ellington will be leaving. Perhaps a swap for Premier League misfit Rob Earnshaw is a possibilty?

Cue the old joke about offering to drive him to his new destination...and probably lots of them...

I honestly think he just needs some time. Let's not forget the good performances he's put in and even when he's played badly he's got some nice touches on him. He's not had much football for a long time now, and he's still getting to know Hendo... He should chill out on the free kicks for a bit, though. Surely Jobi (who also started slowly remember) can hit a dead ball?
