Highly-rated Czechoslovakian striker Matej Vydra became one of the first signings of Watford's Italia revolution on July 30 2012 when he signed on a season-long loan from Udinese.

The 20 year-old striker, who has represented the Czech Republic at virtually all youth levels, was injured for much of last season, suffering from knee ligament damage.

Signed by Udinese for 4m in 2010, Vydra has made two senior appearances for the Zebrette to date and will be looking to build on a promising start to his career, in Hertfordshire.

Contracted until June 30 2013.
