Highly-rated Czechoslovakian striker Matej Vydra became one of the first signings of Watford's Italia revolution on July 30 2012 when he signed on a season-long loan from Udinese.

The 20 year-old striker, who has represented the Czech Republic at virtually all youth levels, was injured for much of last season, suffering from knee ligament damage.

Signed by Udinese for £4m in 2010, Vydra has made two senior appearances for the Zebrette to date and will be looking to build on a promising start to his career, in Hertfordshire.

Contracted until June 30 2013.
