Former centre-back Giancarlo Corradini was appointed as one of Gianfranco Zola's assistant coaches in July 2012.

A 16-year playing career saw Corradini take in spells with Sassuolo, Genoa, Reggiana, Torini and Napoli, where he won Serie A, the UEFA Cup and an Italian Super Cup before retiring in 1994.

Corradini took his first steps in coaching with Juventus in 1999; when Marcello Lippi was appointed in 2001 he became a member of the first-team coaching staff before Fabio Capello made him his assistant. A spell as caretaker followed as Juventus were promoted back to Serie A after Didier Deschamps has resigned.
