Powerful centre-half Nyron Nosworthy penned a two-and-a-half year contract with the Hornets on January 10 2012.

The former Gillingham and Sunderland defender had just completed a three-month emergency loan with the Hornets before returning to Wearside for three days.

Nosworthy, made his name with Gillingham before a free transfer to Sunderland where he guided the Black Cats back to the Premier League and won 'Player of the Season' in the process.

The Brixton-born bruiser fell out of favour at the Stadium of Light under Steve Bruce and spent a couple of seasons out on-loan at Sheffield United before the Blades were relegated in 2011.

Contracted until June 30 2014
