Hulking forward Chris Iwelumo joined Watford from Burnley on a two-year contract on July 19 2011 for an undisclosed fee.

The target man had a frustrating first season at the Vic', arriving with a niggle which prevented him from performing to the best of his abilities early on. However, after a period out of the side, the Scot worked his way back to fitness and ended the season as a real menace, scoring three in the final seven games of the season.

A four-cap Scotland international, Iwelumo had previously enjoyed successful spells in the Football League with Stoke City, Colchester United, Charlton and Wolves, bringing him just shy of 100 league goals.

Iwelumo made his international debut against Norway in 2010 as a sub, making his mark by missing a sitter from close-range. He made his first Scotland start against Argentina and has collected two further caps.

Iwelumo moved out on-loan to join League One sides Notts County and Oldham Athletic during the course of the 2012/13 season, ending the campaign with the latter.

Contracted until June 30 2013
