Watford swooped to bolster their midfield options on July 14 2011 with the free transfer capture of Prince Buaben on a two-year contract.

The young Ghanian midfielder made his name north of the border with SPL outfit Dundee United before leaving on a free at the end of his contract.

The 'Orns beat of approaches from home and abroad for Buaben who started his career at Ajax but was denied the chance to turn pro' due work permit issues.

A tidy midfielder on the ball, Buaben was initially behind the rest of the squad in fitness but fought back to feature regularly during his first season at the club.

Contracted until June 30 2013.
