A former Watford U18's captain, Tommie Hoban turned professional ahead of the 2012/13 season.

Hoban was only a first-year academy scholar when he was handed the #3 jersey for the last day of the 2010/11 season. Named on the bench for the first-team at Preston North End, Hoban came off the bench for the injured Martin Taylor to make his senior debut.

Signed his first pro' contract in 2011 to see him through the remainder of his scholarship at the club before penning a two-year extension in December 2011.

Spent the remainder of the 2011/12 campaign on-loan at Wealdstone after moving on loan in February 2012.

Contracted until June 2017.
