Legendary Hornet's manager Graham Taylor returned in January 2009 under former Chairman Jimmy Russo to add some yellow to the Hornet's board.

The Midlander had previously guided Watford from Division Four to 2nd in Division One as well as the Premier League in 99/00 for the first time ever. Retired in 2001 to be replaced by Luca Vialli before taking over at strugglers Aston Villa briefly.

On December 17th 2009, Taylor was appointed Chairman of Watford Leisure PLC on an interim basis as the club fought administration.

Taylor then agrred to take the role on a full-time basis after the Russo brothers were ousted.

On May 30 2012, Taylor stepped down from his role as a non-executive director and chairman to concentrate on activities away from football.
