Local-lad Lee Hodson made his Hornets debut as a sub on the final day of the 2008/2009 season at home to Derby.

The former Boreham Wood youngster has gone from strength-to-strength since then in both full-back positions, becoming a regular in the side in the following years. Good going forward and reliable at the back, Hodson has made over 75 league starts as a Golden Boy.

In November 2010, the diminutive full-back was called up by the full Northern Ireland side for the first time, and to date, has won eight caps.

On April 16 2011, Hodson scored what remains the only goal of his senior career, arriving unmarked at the back post to nod in at Leeds United's Elland Road during a 2-2 draw.

After failing to feature regularly under Gianfranco Zola, the defender moved on-loan to Brentford before extending until the end of the 2012/13 season.

Contracted until June 30 2014.
