Central midfielder Ross Jenkins made an impressive breakthrough in 2008/09 under former boss Brendan Rodgers, becoming a key figure in midfield.

Despite being a regular in his breakthrough season Jenkins has struggled to make much of an impact on the first-team since, with the loanees and permanent Hornets above him in the pecking order.

No relation to legendary Watford striker Ross Jenkins, Jenkins Jnr. is a neat, unfussy passer of the ball in midfield and stands in well for skipper John Eustace when he's unavailable.

Unable to break into Gianfranco Zola's starting XI during the 2012/13 campaign Jenkins spent a month apiece on-loan at League Two sides Plymouth Argyle and Barnet.

Contracted until June 30 2014
