Watford 0 - Barnsley 3

Vicarage Road

09.04.08 @19:45

Attendance: 16 129

Wat a lot of RUBBISH

What's the bloody point? Nothing is going to change last night's pathetic display.

Credit Barnsley, and they're travelling fans, just reward for a performance far superior
to our our own. Also, huge credit to Kayode Odejayi, after a poor season and his
Wembley horror miss, he doubled his tally with two goals.

For those who are interested the first was made down the right, a low cross missing out
the entire backline, Odejayi tapping in from a yard. Seconds after half-time, Stephen
Foster then headed home before Odejayi wrapped things up with a good run and powerful
finish.

Barnsley
Steele; Foster, Souza, Nyatanga, Van Homoet; Campbell-Ryce (Togwell 90), Hassell, Leon, Kozluk;
Odejayi (Ferenczi 86) and Macken (Coulson 90).

Referee: Mr P Armstrong

Mr Adrian Boothroyd

'If you can't score from three yards or defend set-pieces you don't deserve to win.

'I'm very disappointed and I would like a few answers from my players tomorrow.

'We win and lose together. We are one of the favourites and when teams come here we have to try and break them down, but we just didn't do it.'

Simon Davey

'We always believe in him.

'Strikers live and die by their goal ratio and Kay's has not been good. He knows that but he works very hard.

'To bounce back from Sunday like that is incredible.'

Apologies for the strange layout folks, some invalid has decided to remove MS Word from my laptop so for the time being, I'm putting my 'skills' with Notepad to the test. Evidently not very skillful!

No Howard. No Devaney. No Nardiello. No Ferenzc but the Tykes played us off the park...I'd be amazed if they go down now. Watford were plain awful all night mind.
