'Unbelieveable` Chris Kamara has pinpointed the departure of Gavin Mahon "as the turning point" behind Watford`s fall from grace at the top of the Championship tree.
The Sky Sports pundit "went out on a limb" to state that Watford would run away with the title in October but now reckons the Hornets have made it extremely hard for themselves now Mahon has been moved on to QPR.
Kammy told the Sky Sports website "I cannot understand why Gavin Mahon was allowed to leave that club. I thought he marshalled the midfield brilliantly and organised everything as club captain".
And Kamara got right in the faces of the Vicarage Road booboys who turned on Mahon insisting "He was never going to score lots of goals, but he provided insurance of the backline. I think his departure was the turning point".
Good ol` Kammy - Always says it like it is.
