Duo to miss Ipswich trip

Duo to miss Ipswich trip

With just a day of January to go, Aidy Boothroyd is hit with further selection headaches as the Transfer Window closes in just 24 hours.

Midfielders Lee Williamson and Jobi McAnuff both picked up their fifth yellow cards of the season and will miss Watford's crucial clash with the Tractor Boys.

This adds to the injuries that Damien Francis and Darius Henderson have picked up in recent weeks and it is not yet known when the duo will return.

Danny Shittu is also missing from the trip to East Anglia and his Nigeria side managed to scrape a win last night in the African Cup of Nations.

Aidy Boothroyd will be dipping into transfer market at some point in the next day and has confirmed he is after 'a couple of players', whether that be on-loan or permanently, remains to see.

We do however know that Wayne Routledge is undergoing a medical at Villa Park.
