'Sad' New for Jordan as Matt joins

Left back Matt Sadler has hoisted his bagfuls of Championship experience onto his back and joined Watford after leaving the clutches of St Andrews on a 3½ year deal.

The Hornets have splashed out a cool £750,000 for the former England youth international defender and beat off a host of Championship rivals, including Wolves for Sadler`s signature.

The 22 year old Birmingham City academy graduate could see his price tag rise to more than £900K based upon appearance clauses and an additional sell-on fee but forget the money… it`s an important signing for Watford fans, who have been screaming out for Aidy Boothroyd to dig deep into the coffers and bring in a quality left back.

And Sadler is just the ticket.
