Calum Capture

It's nice when the hacks get it right, and today, journalists can give themselves a collective pat on the back as Calum Davenport moves to Watford.

The former Norwich, Coventry and Spurs defender makes the move to WD18 on-loan for a month with the view to a permanant deal. With Dan Shittu on international duty, Davenport could go straight into the side tomorrow - somehow he is eligable.

Davenport made his name at Coventry City as a young centre half with huge prospects. He was eventually snapped up by Tottenham as they raided the Championship for hot prospects. However, it took a while before Davenport made his debut and was loaned out to Southampton and West Ham beforehand.

As West Ham suddenly became loaded, Davenport found himself on his way to Upton Park last January, but was on the fringes of the first-team there even. His move to Watford co-incides with his return to fitness following a hernia which has seen him sidelined for a while now.

'The manager seems really positive and I'm itching to get back out there as it's been so long now.' Said the new boy who has played alongside our Malky at Norwich City.

Good luck to Calum in his Hornets career!

Hasn't he broken his neck now? This guy is pretty unlucky, as a West Ham fan I'd know!
Oh East London...
