The King is dead. Long live the Duke

Watford have accepted a bid, believed to be in the region of £5m for striker Marlon King and it is also confirmed that Dutch striker Collins John will join the Hornets on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move.

The official Watford club site have confirmed that King will now undergo a medical and discuss personal terms at the cottagers training ground [where hopefully his dodgy right knee and suspect left ankle won`t be discovered ;-) ] before signing for the 'best Championship team` in the Premier League.

Aidy Boothroyd is a massive fan of Collins John and had 2 bids accepted last season for the frontman but failed to agree personal terms with the player.

John though has failed to set the world alight on loan at Leicester and has some big ol` boots to fill now at Vicarage Road.

£5million, good deal for you but cant see him doing anything at Fulham, not a premiership striker. Hope he can prove me wrong!!
will it ever happen

Indeed. Marlon has been fantastic, even the most bitter fan cannot deny, but his head has not been at the 'Vic and to receive 10 x what he cost us, and potentially Collins John with 20 prem goals to his name is great business. Well done Aidy, thanks Marlon.
