Jordan 'Parkes' himself at Brentford

Young Watford left back Jordan Parkes is all lined up for a spell on loan at Brentford, after a frustrating 6 months at Vicarage Road.

The England U18 defender has made only 3 starts for the Hornets in 2 years - all against lower league sides in the Carling Cup - and a lengthy metataursal injury has meant he has been unable to seriously challenge the out-of-form [and booboys favourite] Jordan Stewart for the left back slot.

Parkes publicly declared his frustration at the lack of first team opportunities recently, stating "I need to play some games so if going out on loan is the way to do that, then great but obviously it depends on the club and what they want"

A 1 month loan deal at Griffin Park would be good to put some league experience into the fresh legs of Parkes and a deal looks closer to being completed after Brentford`s local rag 'The Chronicle` hinted Andy Scott is keen to add the Hornets hot prospect to his rejuvenated side.

Here at VitalWatford we look at this news with our 'Good News, Bad News` hat on - Either Aidy Boothroyd has a new left back done and dusted all ready to join [Good News] or the gaffer is being a bit shortsighted letting our only other left sided defender leave, meaning we`re short on cover [Bad News]….

Either way, it`s gonna be an interesting few days to see how things develop.
