'If It's Football, It's Vital'

D-day is here for Hatters

Watford's deadly rivals Luton Town are a mere five hours away from potential liquidation.

Having been in administration for the best part of a month, the administrators set today as the date for any potential buyers submitting their bids.

There has been little speculation surrounding any potential buyers for the Hatters who have slipped into the relegation zone thanks to their 10-point deduction.

If anything though, the Hatters chances of being bought have improved since they were first placed in administration. Despite their ten point slip, they are on an impressive unbeaten run, have enviable home form and an F.A Cup replay, at Anfield.

Last night's televised game against Benitez's Liverpool will have netted the Bedfordshire club 500k, which when you consider they are loosing 400k a month, isn't much.

Despite player sales amounting 4million this Summer with Leon Barnett and Kevin Foley moving on and a sell-on clause for Curtis Davies the club have lost their Championship status.

Add to their predicament the goings-on behind the scenes under former gaffer Mike Newell, former chairman Bill Tomlins and the huge list of F.A Charges for 'bungs' things look bleak for Luton.

You may wonder why I'm giving our rivals my time and attention, but I hope I speak for true Watford fans like myself when I say, I dearly hope they get a buyer.
