Aidy: 'No King bid'

Aidy Boothroyd has moved quickly to deny the club have had any approaches for talismanic striker, Marlon King.

New Fulham gaffer Roy Hodgson is believed to be on of the managers chasing the Hornet's eleven-goal man as is Steve Coppell and Martin O'Neill at Aston Villa.

Despite his poor performances the Barnet-born forward has a number of possible suitors and even more replacements allegedly lined up by Aidy Boothroyd. Jason Roberts and Leroy Lita are just two of the men who could fill the Jamaican's boots.

However, Boothroyd has strenuously denied that his star player will be on the move now January is upon us:

'It would have to be an incredibly lucrative offer for me to let any of our players go because we're where we are and we want to get back in the Premier League,' he told Sky Sports News.

'So selling somebody who's been outstanding for the club doesn't appeal to me at all. I don't want him to go and that's it.

'There's been no approach from any club and I don't expect there to be any because once you say no then that's a no.'

It'll be interesting to see whether or not King features in the F.A Cup on Saturday or whether Boothroyd will keep him from being Cup-tied...
