Hornets linked to move for Hoolahan
Watford are apparently all set to enter a ding dong Championship tug of war with Wolves, Sheffield Utd, Leicester and West Brom for the signature of 6-goal Blackpool winger Wes Hoolahan, if reports to be believed.
The Blackpool Gazette lists Aidy Boothroyd`s Hornets as a potential suitor of the 25 year old Ireland B [and former PFAI Young Player of the Year] wideman and reckon a bidding war could take place for his services after he was scouted by a host of rivals.
Hoolahan, who netted the Seasiders equalizer in the 1-1 draw with Watford back in September, is contracted to Blackpool until the summer of 2009 but could be swayed by a towering big money move away from Bloomfield Road.
Blackpool gaffer Simon Grayson told the local hacks "I know people are watching him [Hoolahan] - he`s done well so why wouldn`t they. Every player has his price and in this industry you can never say never but it would take a ridiculous offer for someone to get him".
Watford have splashed out 'crazy money` already this season on the likes of Nathan Ellington and Jobi McAnuff but it is the blunt blade of Sheffield United`s Brian Robson who is first to publicly display his hand with rumours of a £500k bid for the former Livingston and Shelbourne winger.
