Shrimps poach Loach from Watford
Watford 3rd choice goalie Scott Loach has joined Div 2 promotion chasers Morecambe on a 1 month loan (with a view to an extended spell with the Christie Park outfit).
19 year old Loach will go straight into the Shrimps squad to face Stockport County today (Jan 1) and is expected to start between the sticks after regular keeper Joe Lewis returned to Norwich after his 6 month loan spell expired.
The giant Watford stopper caught the eye of Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd playing for Lincoln City so has good knowledge of football down the leagues. The Nottingham born keeper had a trial spell at Leeds United earlier in the season but was unable to sign for Dennis Wise`s men after the FA slapped a transfer embargo on Elland Road.
