Mahon's a Ranger
One-time Hornets captain, Gavin Mahon, who has fallen from grace spectacuarly this season will join Q.P.R in January.
The deal will initially see the Brummie move to Loftus Road on a loan deal worth 200k before making the switch permanant for a further 50k at the end of the season.
Good business for someone out of contract at the end of the season!
Mahon joined Watford in 2001 during the ill-fated reign of Luca Vialla and began badly picking up a nasty knee injury which saw him sidelined for a long period.
However, under Ray Lewington the former Hereford, Brentford and Wolves enforcer became a regular alongside Micah Hyde eventually going on to be crowned player of the season 03/04.
During his six years at the Vic he played in three semi-finals and captained the club to promotion in 2006. In total, Mahon made 205 league and cup starts for the Golden Boys.
Good luck Gavin from all at VitalWatford Towers...
