Hornets to tame shrew's defender?

Hornets to tame shrew's defender?

Reports are starting to re-circulate that Watford are to step up their efforts to sign Shrewsbury Town`s promising centre half Kelvin Langmead in January.

The 22-year old 'striker turned centre back` former Preston North End and Carlisle man was linked to the Hornets and Coventry back in September and his name is once again on the tip of a host of redtop journalists tongues.

Watford, currently 2nd in the Championship will be desperately short of centre half cover in the new year when man mountain centre half Danny Shittu joins up with the Nigerian squad for the African Nations Cup and Aidy Boothroyd could turn to the Shrews defender to fill the void.
