Efficiency over style for Watford
Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd has admitted that he`d rather nick the 3 points playing ugly than see his troops entertain the fans with some sexy football after the Hornets picked up 4 points from the last 2 games, despite being outplayed in both by Championship also rans Sheffield Wednesday and Cardiff City.
Boothroyd, who has opted to play direct football for much of the last 2 campaigns even after recruiting some quality ball playing playmakers in Gareth Williams, Damien Francis and Nathan Ellington, told redtop reporters "You have to go for efficiency first and style second. If you put style before efficiency you end up losing a lot of games".
