'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Watford would welcome Great Dane

Danish goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen has issued a 'come and get me plea' to the footballing world after being frozen out at Villa Park.

And here, at VitalWatford Towers, we`re desperate that the keepers` calls don`t fall on deaf ears with Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd.

The Hornets supremo will surely be looking at his goalkeeping situation for next season given that bad back victim Mart Poom has proved himself injury-prone, Richard Lee seems not to the boss`s liking and Scott Loach is yet to make a league appearance for the Hornets. Sorensen has all the pedigree and qualities that Sir Aidy would look for in a keeper.

Sources close to Sorensen reckon the Great Dane would consider dropping down a division to join the 'right` club and Cardiff are already rumoured to be sniffing around the once £2.2m man. Middlesborough are also believed to be keen on the stopper who has turned down lucrative offers in the Bundeslige.

Despite playing 150 number of times for Aston Villa and with 70 international caps to his name, Sorensen has dropped down the pecking order under Martin O`Neil and now doesn`t even warm the bench behind Calamity Carson and Stuart Taylor.

Go get him Aidy.

You can't say calamity Carson its just not fair. Plus there's only room for one and I believe his name is still James. On the matter of sorryson I wouldn't be surprised if we paid you to take the whiney ******.

I have to say some of his press comments are a bit rough but I do think he could do a job. He's still only 31 despite the fact he's been around for 50 years.

Very good goalie I think. A bit harshly treated by MON, but he does tend to have 'spells' where he makes silly mistakes. These days most goalies do. Perhaps a lot to do with the beach ball used, swerves all over the place. Sorenson can also have 'spells' of being unbeatable. He would be a great signing for anyone in the Championship, but wages may be a problem. I know my mates who are Baggie fans would love to buy Sorenson and Cahill off us in January. Sorenson will definitely go, but hopefully not Cahill. He is class.
