'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Match of the Jay!

Last nights victorious captain, Jay DeMerit, is on cloud nine this morning after what he describes as a big win.

"That was probably about as big as they come." Said the American afterwards, the game started badly for captain America who had to rally his troops having gone one down after seven minutes. The second was added after 25 minutes.

Jay also paid tribute to Watford`s resolute nature which saw them overcome the deficit and win:

"We have played some great stuff this year and we know we are capable of doing it every game. We came into this game with the same attitude. We could have crumbled when we went 2-0 down but we didn't. The ball just didn't bounce our way early on and it was like Here we go again'. But we stuck to the plan, got the ball down and played a bit."

However, despite picking up their first three points in four attempts, the Golden Boys latest skipper, who want`s the job full-time, admitted despite conceding two, it wasn`t all negative after coming away from Layer Road:

"The positive thing about tonight was that both goals were from set-pieces, they weren't from open play," he said. "That should be easier to sort out."

Here, here Jay. We need to organize the backline. That has to be the most important thing in January with the continued pathetic form of Jordan Stewart and Mart Poom`s lack of organization and confidence.

Bring on the Potters!
