New left back on Aidy's Xmas list

New left back on Aidy's Xmas list

Glory Hornets fans have urged Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd to head up his Christmas list with a new left back in a recent VitalWatford poll!

A whopping 38% of visitors reckon a swoop for a replacement for the lacklustre Jordan Stewart should be Boothroyd`s priority when the New Year sales kick in once the transfer window opens in January.

Here at VitalWatford Towers we are amazed and slightly baffled that the Hornets supremo didn`t opt to bring in cover for boo boys favourite Stewart ahead of the emergency loan deadline, choosing instead to focus on bolstering his attacking options.

Names such as Colchester`s George Elokobi, Birmingham`s Matt Sadler and the out of contract Alexandra Pistone have been linked but Sir Aidy has yet to show his hand.

The Hornets backroom staff must have high hopes that Academy scholar full back Jordan Parkes is the long term answer but the 19 year old has yet to play a league game and is currently fighting back to fitness from a metataursal injury.

Regular left back Jordan Stewart - Boothroyd`s first signing as Watford boss - has already turned down 2 new contract offers from the club and with his latest performances being less than acceptable (and now with Watford really have to question the players logic!

After all, he's already punching above his weight at WD18.
