Jobi struggling to fill Jinky boots!
Watford`s flying wingman Jobi McAnuff may not be fit enough to fill the vacant left wing berth against Barnsley after Watford boss, Aidy Boothroyd, rated him "only 50-50" to face the Tykes.
McAnuff, who has been hampered with a thigh strain injury for 3 weeks now, would have been firm favourite to fill the void left by Adam Johnson`s return to Middlesborough but it appears the ex Eagles flyer may not be ready to return to action just yet.
Sir Aidy told the ever so nice people at the This is Local London media network "Jobi is touch and go for Saturday. He`s had a period out and it might be that little bit too soon for him. If there is any doubt I won`t risk him".
The Good Ship Boothroyd has a number of options at his disposal on the left side of midfield with Steve Kabba - who looked just a little bit handy there against Wolves on the opening day - , Tamas Priskin, Anthony McNamee, Lee Williamson, Alex Campana and new boy Lionel Ainsworth all itching to step up to the plate in the cauldron that is Oakwell.
And it could lead to even more frustration for Jobi, who has found himself warming the bench for much of the season due to the form of Boro loanee Johnson, if any one of the 'Watford 6`grab the opportunity by the Horns to impress Sir Aidy.
