Lionel richly deserves to go far!

Hereford gaffer, Graham Turner, reckons flying wideman Lionel Ainsworth has everything in his locker to go far in his career after seeing the 20-year old secure a move to Championship leaders Watford.

The Edgar Street supremo wax lyrical(ed) about the ex England U19 international winger declaring "He's got a great shot with both feet and plenty of pace. He's got a good pedigree and if he keeps his feet on the ground, he could go a long way."

And, after seeing Ainsworth net his second hat-trick of the season (yes 2nd) against Stockport, Turner added "He has been doing things like that all season. Lionel has got good pedigree. He learned his trade at Derby County and I think you can see that."

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd snapped up the pacy winger as the loan window slammed shut on Thursday and a deal has already been struck to make the move permament in January.

It looks a shrewd move by the Hornets chief after wing wizard Adam Johnson was recalled by Middlesborough. Ainsworth has scored 8 times in 14 games for Hereford, including the winner to knock Leeds out of the FA Cup.

We'll just have to wait and see if he has the Glory Hornet followers dancing on the ceiling with joy at Vicarage Road.
