Ainsworth joins

Hereford United youngster Lionel Ainsowrth has today joined Watford on-loan until January with the view to a permanant deal.

The 20 year-old scored that goal to knock Leeds United out of the F.A Cup this week as little Hereford pulled off one of the shocks of the first round. This was the former Derby protegee's eigth goal of the season having netted two hat-tricks and one other goal already this term.

Ainsworth began his career at Derby County but, ableit various loan spells, was released in the Summer having made two sub appearances. Hereford United's Graham Turner has gott the best out of the England Under 17 and Under 19 cap in his short stint with the Bulls.

Lionel can also play on the right-hand side of midfield and could feature against Barnsley on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Watford have confirmed Toumani Diagourage and Theo Robinson will stay at Hereford until the end of the season with the former having the option to make the deal permanant.

Ainsworth looks handy. Fast left winger with bags of pace and crossing ability. Sir Thomas Mooney picked him out as a player with potential and who's to argue with him!
