O'Toole just the job for Irish

O'Toole just the job for Irish

A powerful header deep in second half injury time by Watford midfielder John-Joe O`Toole was enough to secure Republic of Ireland U21 victory in their European Championship Group 3 qualifier against Bulgaria.

Making just his 2nd full appearance in the famous green jersey, O`Toole met an inswinging cross from Blackburn Rovers fullback Eddie Nolan with a downward header - right out of the Darius Henderson school of finishing - in the 93rd minute to send Irish eyes a dancing…

After his debut in the 1-0 defeat in Montenegro on Friday, John-Joe received rave reviews with caretaker boss Sean McCaffrey telling the waiting press "He`s a good passer of the ball, quick feet, sees a pass and has great athletic ability. He`s also a powerful strong player and he`s good in the air".

Indeed he is Sean. Indeed he is.
