Johnson re-called

The news we had all been praying wouldn't come, has come. Gareth Southgate has this morning re-called the flying winger in a bid to save his neck at 'Boro.

Johnson has been a huge hit at Vicarage Road and will go down as one of the Hornets most successful loanee's ahead of favourites like Trevor Benjamin and Carl Fletcher!

'Johnno' has managed five strikes in his two-month loan spell at the 'Vic but recently admitted he has been home sick despite regular visits to the North East.

Middlesbrough, who are struggling in 17th, just two points above the drop-zone will now look to Johnson for inspiration after his impressive spell in the Championship.

The worry for Aidy Boothroyd now is how to replace the EnglandU21 cap who has wowed the crowds of Hertfordshire with his dazzling array of tricks. Jobi McAnuff mus surely be favourite to take Johnno's spot in the team but is currently injured. Thus, Anthony McNamee may be given his long-awaited chance to earn a new deal.

Good luck to Adam in his future career!

Do you think he'll be able to make the step up in quality?

I think so. He's been the outstanding player on the park for the last two months so I think he should do well for the Boro boys.
